A cool alternative

19 Jun

Although I try to get Luka out and about during the “cooler” times in the day, there are times when he feels like being outside during the middle of the day. This is the only thing that we can do to survive being outside in 50 degree Celcius heat. The proper swimming pool gets no shade during the day so we can’t go out for a dip in the intense heat of the sun. We fill the paddling pool, empty a few trays of ice into the water (as the water out of the tap is boiling hot), and play in what feels like the smallest pool in the world!

You can see by our faces that it is still pretty warm, but it is the safest way to spend 30 minutes outdoors.

Oh yes we do and whole maintanence teams to make sure it keeps going ALL THE TIME. We would not survive without it, I think that we would become ill from the intense heat. Aircons literally keep us alive here.
