France – Day 5

16 Sep

Today we:

  • wound our way through the pine tree covered mountains and small villages to the town of La Croix Valmer on the coast.

  • spent a few hours on the beach soaking up the sun, the heat seems so mild to us coming from the unbearable heat of the Saudi Arabian summer.

  • finally wrapped things up on the beach after a wonderful time running up and down the shoreline.

  • snaked our way along the 26km-long coastal road known as the Corniche des Maures to the town of La Lavandou. The scenery is beautiful, the villages themselves feel a little tacky. It may be because the coast attracts the tourists and with that come the big, glittery store fronts and bars which don’t feel very french countryside to me.

  • strolled around the 1000-boat marina at La Lavandou. It was a good day away from the busy cities, slowing down a little to enjoy the natural beauty and spend some time on the beach.

Oh I am so envious of your trip; everything looks so gorgeous! It seems such like such a lovely getaway for your family! I hope you had fun when you went back to Paris(:

      Hey Arathi

We are currently in Paris for a few days. It’s great but also really busy with a little person in tow. No browsing in gorgeous shops for us this time around. But the weather is great and Paris is bustling and ever so elegant so we cannot complain at all.
