Provence – The Last Days

19 Sep

During our last few days in Provence we:

  • decided to kick back a little and slow down. We were starting to feel more exhausted after each day of running around in our bid to suck it all in and see everything before we left. So we stayed in for a few mornings, took long walks through the vineyards and lunched at ‘home’.

  • visited a few little villages close by to cut down on the number of hours we were spending in the car. It meant that we missed out on a day in Nice but we got to relax and take it easy for a while. We still had a few days in the hustle and bustle of Paris on the cards and needed to conserve our energy for that.

  • found the most delicious yoghurt in the whole world EVER. And it comes in the most wonderful little painted terracotta pot, I think I may like the container more than the yoghurt AND I DO LOVE THE YOGHURT.

  • enjoyed a fabulous 6-course dinner served by our hosts and enjoyed by ourselves and the other guests on the wine farm.
  • worked on our game of fly swatter tennis. It’s the new craze in toddler workouts and is taking hold everywhere! Please note the Maria Sharapova grunts after each stroke.

He is too cute, and quite accurate with that flyswatter! Neenee is just about ready to take her first steps. Lindi and Luka will have such fun together now!!! Glad you are having such a great time!

Well my friend, Lindi, Neenee and Luka may just be able to have fun in the sun together soon. We maybe might have booked a large-house-so-that-everyone-can-come-and-stay on Thiesen Island, Knysna for January. And you maybe might just need to take some leave and join us for the inaugural Brinkmannn Summer Ball and a few days of RnR. Just sayin…

So pleased you seem to have had a lovely holiday and very brave with a…….nearly 2 yr old!! Just to think we were in the same country, so close and yet so far, wish I could have been able to hope on the train and give you both time together in Paris. Maybe next time an anniversary celebration!
